Laying the Foundation
First line of code. PHP frontend, Express backend, SQLite database. Logo, GDPR-compliant privacy policy, email system, admin dashboard. Shop with checkout and PayPal. No WordPress, no Shopify, no "we'll do that later." Everything from scratch, because that's how we wanted it. 14 cups of coffee later, the foundation was set.
The Portal Takes Shape
Homepage is up. AWIN pipeline running, first affiliate products flowing in. Hardware Radar built: daily deals for 3D printers, filament and accessories. Product cards, brand slider, outbound tracking. From zero to deals platform in 4 days. Sleep schedule: non-existent. Hair: getting thinner.
Content Pipeline + Go-Live
Content pipeline done: RSS feeds, article processing, automatic image generation, product matching. eBay integration on top. And then, on February 26, the moment: Coming-Soon page down. 3dausdu.de is live. Hands trembling slightly. First real visitor at 1:47 PM. From now on, it counts.
Feature Explosion
Coupon system with CSV import, code reveal and merchant whitelist. Creator Hub launches. The wiki system is running. Blog officially becomes Magazine. Consent center, glossary with schema markup. Coffee count: 47. To-do list: longer than before, not shorter. But everything works.
The Big Infrastructure
OpenSearch deployed. The wiki grows to over 400 articles. Complete V3 redesign: header, footer, one single CSS file for everything. The 3D Scout chatbot goes live and answers its first question: "Which PLA for outdoors?" And then the madness: Express 5, Prisma 7, OpenSearch 3.5, Node.js 24. Four major upgrades in one day. Server survives. So do we. Barely.
SEO + AI on Steroids
Hardware-Radar bekommt 10 eigene SEO-Kategorieseiten.
Knowledge Base + Content Machine
61 expert sources tapped. 37,000+ knowledge entries from 61 expert sources. From RepRap Wiki through Prusa and Bambu Lab to Klipper firmware. The magazine pipeline completely rebuilt. It now automatically delivers new articles. Security dashboard, bot monitoring, ad banner system. And on the last day of the week: the event calendar goes live. 62 trade shows, conferences and workshops in the 3D printing industry, automatically updated, with timeline design and direct links to organizers. Coffee counter: we stopped counting. The to-do list is still longer than at the beginning. But the portal? Rock solid. And we're just getting started.
The World Speaks 3D Printing
Full portal now in German and English. 650 translation keys, 38 pages health-monitored, 3,038 video summaries translated, chatbot responds in both languages. Plus the big SEO audit: Product Schema for 27,000 deals, Event Schema for 60+ events, 1,543 URLs in the sitemap, all search engine bots with VIP access. Contact page with crossfade hero. And yes, the coffee is gone.
This is 3D AUS DU. Right now.
That was the beginning. The to-do list is longer than ever. But that's exactly what makes it fun.
